| Rita Sturzbecher has been a registered nurse for thirty years and has practiced in both Australia and the United States. She has thirty years experience in dealing with food allergies and sensitivities from the most personal of perspectives, as a practicing gluten free celiac. She currently owns and operates, with her husband, a dedicated successful gluten free bakery and cafe in San Antonio Texas. The Little Aussie Bakery & Cafe prides itself on being able to deal with most allergies with out compromising flavor, texture, or the hip pocket. Rita was born in England, educated in Australia, and has lived in San Antonio, Texas for the last 4 years. Rita has been a keynote speaker for Celiac support groups, runs cooking classes and workshops for the food intolerant and for providers of food. The focus of these sessions is always dealing with allegens without compromise. Rita's focus is always on the very practical, simple, understandable steps that when taken provide the desired result. | John Apostolovic has worked as a registered nurse for twenty years, and has been married to Rita for as long. Together they raised five children, all with allergy and intollerance issues. John deals with the day to day organizational issues of The Other Grains and their restaurant. John also has a deep understanding of food sensitivity issues from a dual perspective of both a parent and a health care professional He has worked as a Nurse educator in Australia, specializing in Behavioural Health education for Health Care professionals. He also has worked as an RN in the United States. He currently co-owns and operates The Little Aussie Bakery & Cafe with Rita. |
